Our NetZero One
model

Your biomass. Your plant. NetZero's ecosystem.

NetZero One is our turn-key industrial partnership model. It is built for companies that have biomass and want to run their own biochar project, with NetZero's technology, operating support, certification expertise, and industrial biochar track record behind them.

The partner owns the plant. NetZero brings the technology, project delivery, operating standards, data systems, agronomy, MRV, certification, and carbon-credit commercialisation.

After start-up, we stay involved. We support the local team so the project delivers in the most efficient way possible and continuously adapts to the evolutions of certification standards.

The partnership model

What you bring

Biomass, utilities, logistics, and a local team

A location to host the biochar plant

Funding for the project, with possible facilitation by NetZero

Day-to-day project operation: upstream, production, and downstream

What NetZero brings

A turn-key biochar plant with state-of-the-art pyrolysis technology

Ongoing technical support across multiple dimensions

MRV, certification, and CDR commercialisation

Continuous adaptation to the frequent evolutions of certification standards

What the project delivers

Better valorisation of biomass

Biochar to improve soil quality and crop productivity

Certified, high-permanence carbon removal credits sold at a premium price

Potential local energy value from the production process

Much more than hardware

NetZero One is not another biochar equipment offer. It is an integrated industrial model that brings together technology, engineering, operations, agronomy, MRV, certification, and carbon-credit commercialisation. In a first-time implementation, each of these elements carries significant operational risk. NetZero One brings them together in a proven, ready-to-run package that significantly de-risks the project.

Who is it for?

NetZero One is built for organisations that control at least 10kt of biomass per year, can host an industrial project, and want to own the value created by biochar production.

Large farms or plantations

Large-scale crop operations, plantations, or planted forests that generate sufficient residue volumes on-site to support a dedicated biochar installation.

Cooperatives

Agricultural cooperatives managing collective production, storage, or processing, with the scale and governance structure to anchor a shared NetZero One facility.

Integrated agro-processors

Sugar mills, rice processors, coffee processors, and similar facilities that generate large, consistent volumes of agricultural residues as a natural by-product of their operations.

Agricultural traders and exporters

Commodity traders and exporters with direct access to processing infrastructure and residue streams, looking to add a certified sustainability layer to their supply chain.
